Hello everyone!!! Hope you are all comfortably settling into 2017… Umm, yeah… probably not. As we all saw via all sources of social media… twitter, facebook, or the interwebs, we saw women’s march all across the United States and even in other countries… It was an awesome show of solidarity uniting various ethnicities, socioeconomic backgrounds, and religions. Hopefully it is just the beginning and not just “the thing to do at the moment”.

For the new year, I’m started to throw stuff away that I don’t need or use. Good news is that while throwing stuff away, I also found movie tickets and other stuff I didn’t know I had. It is just the start, so I will keep you all posted on my progress!

The new client special is still in effect, so those that are regulars, tell your friends… new people reading this, what are you waiting for and come in!!!

The Super Bowl is set…. err, I mean the “big game”… am I gonna get sued for that? The evil empire that is New England is back… while the new upstart, Atlanta got in beating an all-time franchise in Green Bay. I’m cheering against Tom Brady and the Patriots, just because… Hopefully it will be a fun high scoring game with fun commercials in between!

Anyways… back to the grind…

Happy New Years!!! Yeah, I know, I’m about a week too late… whatever, though… it’s a new year!

Alright everyone… so Christmas has come and gone with New Years rapidly coming in the not too distant future…

It was sad to hear about the passing of Carrie Fisher and even her mom Debbie Reynolds in the past few days. And then prior to that Alan Thicke also died as well… 2016 was a bad, bad year for celebrity deaths. A lot of legends and a lot of childhood memories… Prince, David Bowie, Muhammed Ali, Leonard Nimoy, George Michael, Alan Rickman, Arnold Palmer, Florence Henderson…

But hey, we are moving onto 2017… High expectations… ok, tempered expectations… We’ve got things in store at the office in the umcoming year, so stay tuned!!!

We are officially TWELVE DAYS from Christmas!!! Needless to say, I am not prepared at all… Well, for the office I am… there are GIFT CERTIFICATES available if you need them!

It’s THANKSGIVING WEEK!!!

FYI for all of you readers out there, I will be in the office on Thanksgiving Day in the MORNING. If you would also like to schedule an appointment on Friday, call ahead. Parking is pretty wonky that day, so be prepared. I will be in regularly on Saturday, so just make appointments as usual.

We are ushering in a whole, new world today…

DONALD TRUMP IS PRESIDENT… DONALD TRUMP… This is not a joke… This is not a SNL skit, this is real and it is happening…

I’m not a political pundit or anything, but I am concerned. I don’t know if Donald Trump can be “presidential” or whatever that means. As I’m watching his acceptance speech, I want to see if he is gracious and humble in his victory… Right now, the United States is divided and we need to cross party, racial, economic, gender, and religious lines to unify us. As the quote says

UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL

We need to be united, especially because there are so many other external powers that want to see us fail.

But on a lighter note… if you are stressed, come in for a massage! I’m in all week. I will be in on Veterans’ Day as well

Hey, welcome back…

So a lot of things have been happening recently … perhaps the biggest thing was the third and final Presidential debate. Politics is always one of those hot button topics, but I think with this Presidential campaign, politics has gone completely mainstream. The debates have been borderline skits taken straight from Saturday Night Live. All of Trump’s facial expressions and gesticulations are at times comical. It only gets scary when you think he really could be the United States’ next president. I am not saying Hillary Clinton is without her own set of issues, but good or bad, she is a politician through and through. She is what she is, the only difference is that she’s a Presidential candidate who happens to be a female

Ok, enough about that… I’m not sure if you all watch the Walking Dead on AMC… Season seven is lining up to be CRAZY!!! In episode one, we got to see the outcome of last year’s cliffhanger (that was a doozy…) and ANOTHER big thing happens (BIGGER DOOZY!!!) I won’t spoil it, so just watch.

FYI… people… if you call and I don’t answer… LEAVE A MESSAGE… or TEXT… don’t just keep calling and hanging up. I won’t break away from a massage to answer the phone

Hello again… sorry for again procrastinating on my blogging duties. But I am back… good news/bad news, not much has changed so it’s business as usual at the office…

Now that we are fully entrenched into fall… football is in full effect, baseball is headed home with the playoffs and basketball and hockey are starting up (I had to say something about hockey, don’t know who many fans of hockey there are in Hawaii). Baseball should have a memorable ending… perhaps the lovable losers, the Chicago Cubs will shake of the curse of the goat… or Bartman… or whatever and win their first World Series in close to 100 years… And making Back to the Future 2 nearly prophetic… (don’t get it? watch the movie)

Oregon State had a big win last week over Cal… they’ve been bad this season… The University of Hawaii has looked good with their road win over San Jose State last week. Hopefully they keep up the momentum and win homecoming this weekend. Good job ROLO!

Oh… if you have youtube red, check out the online show “Single by 30”. It’s from Wong Fu production… it’s a cool fun show with Asian American leads… It’s funny, cute, and hopefully they’ll do more of em and/or put these on dvd.

I’m up to some side projects that may or may not be secret, so stay tuned for that…

It really is hard to believe that the events of 9/11 happened 15 years ago… for many of us, it’s a vivid, surreal memory, something almost out of a movie come to life. But the sad truth is that it happened and many lost their lives that day and their families are still trying to deal with it, as we all do in our own way.

There’s been an uproar with Colin Kaepernick (and now others) with he and others not standing at the singing National Anthem. Is he doing the right thing, speaking for those that aren’t heard? Yes… Could he have done it differently? Yes…

We have problems in the United States… as culturally diverse and socially progressive as we say we are, stupidity runs deep… no not racism, or fanaticism, you heard me, stupidity… I was watching a stand up, Bo Burnham. One thing that stuck with me was one of the songs he did talking about religion. In it, he says (I’ll paraphrase) “you shouldn’t kill people because the Bible told you not to, you shouldn’t do it because it’s not the right thing to do”. What’s the upside of hating people because of their race, religion, or sexual orientation? Some learned their hate through their upbringing… others created opinions through personal experiences… but hating someone “just because” is stupid… I just think people should learn the other sides perspective before just hating because everyone else is doing it…

Anyways, on a much lighter note, FOOTBALL is here!!! And with that, FANTASY FOOTBALL!!! I’m in a few leagues… Hopefully they all pan out well, if not… oh well. Also congrats on University of Hawaii and their 1st win under Nick Rolovich… hopefully the first of many (except against Oregon State, of course… hahah)
