HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I hope you all had a fun and safe NYE celebration.

For me, this was another year of growth and learning, so I took last night to quietly reflect on the previous year while look optimistically into 2018.

Between moving the office, losing my pup, and even getting rear ended two weeks before Christmas, it’s been just a lot of stuff going on. So hopefully thinks will get on track in the beginning of this year.

It’s been pretty fun in the new office. I’m still getting acquainted to my new surroundings, but I’m having fun learning my way around a new place. Hopefully even more people can check me out in my new place.

For thirteen years, I have worked and lived in the American Savings Bank building by Pearlridge. This afternoon, I turned in my keys and ultimately, ended that chapter of Ka Hale Ola Massage Therapy.

But as the cliche goes, as one door closes, another opens… and so the new era at the Airport Industrial Park Association (AIPA) Building beings!!!

Yes, after about a month of moving back and forth, the new office is now open… well, it’s been sort of up and running since Black Friday, but come tomorrow (December 1st), I will be 100% into the office.

The office has downsized, but it’s everything I need for my office. And unfortunately, Jan will not be doing massages with me so that she can take care of her family. It will be a strange transition, but I am looking forward to this new adventure.

There’s more to come later, but now I have to fix all the Ka Hale Ola Massage Therapy information on the web…

The move to the new place is in full swing….I am excited to show al of you the new office, but it’s not finished yet.

The moving special is still in full effect for everyone interested… Aside from that, friend me on facebook for more up to date updates

Welcome back Ka Hale Ola Massage blog readers… I’m sorry to have been away for so long… If you come in to see me, you’d know some of the things that have been happening, some good, some bad.

But probably the main reason why I haven’t posted was because I didn’t know what the future held for Ka Hale Ola Massage Therapy. And it’s only been about a week since the decision has been made and things have finally fallen into place.

KA HALE OLA MASSAGE THERAPY IS MOVING

Yes, the office is moving to the Airport Industrial Park Building, 3375 Koapaka St., Suite 238-08, Honolulu HI 96819.

It was a difficult decision since I’ve been at the American Savings Bank building location for 13 plus years, but with everything that I’ve been through there, a fresh start was needed. There are other changes that will happen before, during, and after the move, but I will keep you all notified when I feel the time is right.

It is an exciting… and terrifying time for me, so stay tuned for any new updates!!!

I will have a new special posted as well…

June 1st, 2017

Well, hello there! Needless to say, I took a little break from the blog… no real good reason why, life just got in the way. Anyways, I am back… lots to catch up so, so here we go!

The summer movie season has arrived. While not necessarily a summer movie, I was able to watch Fate of the Furious… The eighth installment in the Fast and Furious franchise. If you like the franchise, this movie will be right up your alley… If you’re new to the series (you never watch FX, TBA, TNT, USA or pretty much any channel for that matter), go back and watch the old ones. It is relatively standalone, so it it still interesting even without previous information. I also saw Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. For the most part, I enjoyed it… but after thinking about it for a bit, I just felt like… you know that feeling of eating too many pieces of bacon, or one too many doughnuts… kinda of almost like that. You’re overloaded with almost too much of a good thing… weird I know. But if it definitely worth seeing and you making your own decisions on it. There are a lot more movies coming soon, so I’ll be watching many more!!!

The NBA finals are FINALLY here… I’m cheering for the Cavs…

I’m back helping one of my friends coach softball. That’s fun… but I should wear sunscreen to avoid my face peeling again.

Hmmm… well, I guess I didn’t have that much going on in the last two months… Eh, just come in we will find something to talk about while I find all your knots!

So another month down in 2017… is it just me or is 2017 blazing by?

Anyways, I’m back… I was out of commission last week for a day or two, but I am back now
)

The NCAA tournament was pretty awesome… my bracket was destroyed within 72 hours, but whatever. I was cheering for the Zags to win it all in the end anyway. Tax season is almost done, which is cool… Baseball’s Opening Day has come and gone… for all you fantasy baseball fans out there, hopefully your drafts went well…

Hmm… other than that, it’s the usual…

March 10th, 2017

Alrighty then….So now it’s MARCH!?!?

Sorry I’ve been away, but between doing my taxes, softball, and well, work… It’s been a little hectic… not overwhelming, just lots of little tasks to do.

March Madness is upon us… Good news the University of Hawaii men’s basketball team had their sanctions lifted… but unfortunately, they were bounced from the Big West tournament. For a “rebuilding year” they did pretty well, so props to them.

Lots of government stuff has been going on… and we’re just over that, so whatevers…

I just got work one of my friends is engaged… so congrats Liane for that!

The movies to watch are slowly coming to theaters… I’m looking forward to seeing Logan in the not too distant future…

St. Patrick’s Day is coming next week, so be careful out there!!!

February 8th, 2017

Well, 2017 is off and running isn’t it…

The Super Bowl… err, I mean the “big game” lived up to the hype… well the ending anyway. Going into the third quarter, I thought Atlanta was going to be putting the finishing touches on a dominant effort. And in some respects, I thought Tom Brady and the Patriots were merely going through the motions… That improbable Julio Jones catch I thought was the deal sealer and final momentum swing… but I guess that was the last GOOD play Atlanta completed before that fickle mistress, momentum, sided with the Pats and swung everything around…

Brady is the GOAT, no doubt… Newly anointed MVP Matt Ryan didn’t live up to that title. The Patriots took the game from Atlanta, no doubt… but Atlanta had to mess up for them to do it. It’s my opinion that if Brady and Ryan switched teams, Brady would have absolutely destroyed New England… and Matt Ryan would have NEVER been able to make that come back. I hate Belichek, but he and Brady are the dynamic duo that dynasties are made from,

Basketball season is in full swing and that means… it’s almost BASEBALL season!!!

That’s all I got for now… deal’s still going… VD is almost upon us, or singles awareness day for us singles, so come get a massage!!!

While the United States and the world have been going through some stuff (understatement of the week), things have been relatively quiet around the office… It’s been a little slow, but I guess it has allowed me to think about what’s going on around me.

So yeah, eleven or so days into his presidency and Donald Trump has made things… “difficult”? Yeah I know, another understatement, but is his presidency going to be like this the entire time? It is so tumultuous that I can’t see it leading to anything but bad… not just for him, but for everyone. Maybe it’s because I’ve been watching The Man in the High Castle- a very interesting show on Amazon, it shows a dystopian view of the world if the Nazis won World War II… with some sci-fi elements added for spice. But in the show, it shows the small resistance of the people who want to restore the United States from German rule. (I won’t go into more, just check it out if you have Amazon Prime)… Then I stated thinking about Battlestar Galactica, where there was a “fixed election” that was ultimately rectified, then the new president was horrible…

So I dunno… it’s hard to see all these things in Hawaii since we (Asians) are the majority. I “semi-joke” that since we’re Asians, we will be the fourth wave of minority that gets deported… see, only semi- joking since it really could happen… Scary thought…

Well aside from that, I was able to see Rogue One. A very good movie. It really tied up a few of the loose ends from Star Wars episode 4 in a concise and insulated show. I am looking forward to Episode 8
The Last Jedi as well as the new Han Solo film.

I was able to celebrate two of my friends birthdays this past weekend, so that was fun! Happy Birthday to Liane and Joanna!!!

The “Big Game” is coming up… the Pro Bowl was a blah… Are all of you going to have a watching party?

Well, back to work…
