Look, who’s come back in a realtively timely fashion
)

I’ll try not to hurt myself by patting myself on the back too much… but yeah, I’m here again…

So as the usual, I was doing a massage at the office today and the phone rings… no message. It rings again… again no message… at third time, same thing… and then a fourth time, same same.

I was just wondering what goes through people’s minds when they keep calling. I understand they want to get a massage and they call… but not enough to leave a message. But they call again… and still not leave a message… But then after the third time, wouldn’t you just leave a message? It’s like people WANT to become frustrated with us… or maybe just with me. Believe me, I want to provide my massage services to you, but I can’t if you don’t leave a message. So perhaps, I will propose this… in the next few weeks, if people call and don’t leave messages, I will text them back to see if they want to make an appointment. Sounds, kinda weird, I know, but maybe these people are just shy! HAHAHA!!!

Speaking of people who call back a lot… there’s this number
#808 524-6111. It calls my office just about every other day. However, THEY leave a message… 3 seconds of silence. I have no idea who it is or what they want. It’s pretty irritating and borderline offensive. So if you or someone you know has that number
MAKE AN APPOINTMENT or STOP CALLING!!!! Oh yeah, and then there’s the yelp peeps… they’re back at it again… new person, same spiel… bleh… They should do it for free and THEN call me to get in with them

But oh well, it’s almost the weekend!!! Come in for massages if you need to!!!

Hope everyone was able to observe and enjoy the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.

I was in the office, as usual today… it is a Monday you know…

I think things are getting back into order. My insurance is slowly getting things in order to deal with my case and compensate me (I guess). But if you know anyone selling a 4Runner from 96-98 with 160,000 or more miles, let me know. I’m supposed to be doing research for comparable cars… but this past weekend, I was playing softball with my Powerhouse team. It was good to see a lot of familiar faces out, and while we didn’t do very well, a good time was had by all.

Yesterday was the last game of the fall American Legion u19 baseball season for Iolani. I had a lot of fun coaching those kids this year. There were some familiar faces from last year, but many new ones as well. FYI for prep baseball fans out there, Iolani is a team on the rise… and that’s not just me taking up for my alumni. These kids are talented and Coach Kurt has the energy to get us back to the prominence we are accustomed to!!!

Aside from that, it’s the usual… apparently none of my friends won the lottery so it’s back to work!!!

HAPPY NEW YEARS Ka Hale Ola Massage Therapy BLOG readers!!!

I am sorry for not posting during the holiday season… Between the usual good stuff like work at the office, baking for family and friends, and going out and about to spend time with everyone, I was rear ended by some stupid kid the day after Christmas right by my office.

I am ok (in fact, I went back to work the following Monday, a little tight on the right side of my neck, but surprisingly unharmed) because my car took the brunt of the damage… In fact, it is totalled. Back bumber destroyed, back window blown out, driver side back door wedged shut, my driver side car seat was in fact, unbolted off the floor at impact… so imagine one second, you’re looking forward and then the next you’re looking up at the ceiling… yeah. The guys excuse was that he was handing something to his kid in the back… with his wife also in the car in the passenger seat. Dumbass could’ve conceivably killed his kid and wife if in fact that’s what he was doing… but I’m sure he was just been a dumb ass and been checking his phone. Regardless, he’s responsible and of course, now liable.

It is difficult to look back on 2015 without it being tainted by what happened at the end of the year. I guess the accident puts things into perspective as well. The usual adages/ plattitudes all kind of make sense and seem like more than just worthless drivel… “carpe diem”, “be thankful for what you have”, “your health is most important”, “YOLO”… So yeah, that was that…

Moving on… Did all of you see Star Wars
The Force Awakens? If not, go see it… well worth your time and money. It’s got all the things you want
Action, nostalgia, intrigue, lightsabers!!!!

I also heard that one of my former coaches, Allan Sato was inducted into the HPU hall of fame!!! Congratulations and so deserving for everythng he did for that program!

And speaking of the Hall of Fame, one of my childhood baseball heroes, Ken Griffey Jr. was inducted into the MLB HOF!!! Junior did things the right was… was beyond reproach during the steroid era, and played the game with a passion and joy you don’t see with many of todays superstars. For those that are too young to have remembered him, check out youtube.

And so with that, the first blog post of the year is done…
